Booking Guide

Tickets for all programmes of the Chinese Opera Festival will be available at all URBTIX outlets, on Internet and by telephone credit card booking from 18 April onwards. All box offices accept cash and credit cards (American Express, VISA, Diners Club or MasterCard) and China UnionPay cards (in Hong Kong currency only). One hour before the performance, tickets will only be available at the box office of the performing venue.

Tickets for all programmes are available on the Internet. There is a service fee of HK$6.5 per ticket, up to HK$20 maximum per transaction. Only American Express, VISA, Diners Club or MasterCard are accepted for payment. Patrons can purchase up to a maximum of 40 tickets per transaction. Please make sure that your name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone and credit card details are clearly filled in. Bookings will be confirmed online as well as by e-mail. Customers may choose to collect tickets at the Cityline Ticket Dispensing Machines or at the sales counter at any of the Cityline outlets upon presentation of the credit card used for online booking, or by mail to the customer’s designated address (extra service charge is required for overseas or registered mailing). Tickets booked within seven days of the performance must be collected in person at any Cityline Ticket Dispensing Machines or at the sales counter of any Cityline outlets upon presentation of the credit card used for online booking. All service and mailing fees collected for Internet booking are non-refundable.

Patrons can order tickets via telephone booking with payment charged to your credit card accounts. There is a service fee of HK$6.5 per ticket, up to HK$20 maximum per transaction. Patrons can purchase up to a maximum of 40 tickets per transaction. Customers may choose to collect tickets at the Cityline Ticket Dispensing Machines or at the sales counter at any of the Cityline outlets upon presentation of the credit card used for telephone booking, or by mail to the customer’s designated address (extra service charge is required for overseas or registered mailing).

Discount Schemes

Concessionary Discounts for Full-time Students, Senior Citizens, People with Disabilities and the Minder, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients

 

Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients.

Tickets for students and CSSA recipients are available on a firstcome-first-served basis. Concessionary ticket holders must produce proof of their identity or age upon admission.

 

Group Booking Discount*
10% discount for each purchase of 4-9 full-price tickets;
15% discount for each purchase of 10-19 full-price tickets;
20% discount for each purchase of 20 full-price tickets or more.

 

Package Booking Discount*
10% discount on full-price tickets for each purchase of 3-4 different performances;
15% discount on full-price tickets for each purchase of 5-9 different performances;
20% discount on full-price tickets for each purchase of 10 different performances or more.

 

* Not applicable to purchase of tickets of Extension Activities ‘Talks on the Appreciation of Peking Opera’, ‘Talks on Chinese Opera Films’, ‘Chinese Opera Film Shows’ and ‘Cantonese Opera Film Featuring Leng Chi Pak’.

 

Special Notes

  • Tickets for ‘Talks on the Appreciation of Peking Opera’ and ‘Talks on Chinese Opera Films’ are available from 20 March onwards.
  • Tickets for ‘Chinese Opera Film Shows’ are available from 30 March onwards.
  • The box office of Hong Kong Space Museum and Yau Ma Tei Theatre only sells tickets for programmes performed at the venue.
  • Audiences aged 6 and above are welcome.
  • Each ticket admits one person only.
  • Patrons can enjoy only one of the above discount schemes for each ticket purchased. For purchase of concessionary discount tickets, the patron should inform the box office staff of the eligible discount type (e.g. full-time student) at the time of purchase.
  • Programmes will normally be cancelled when typhoon signal No. 8 or above, or the Black Rainstorm Warning is issued or remains in effect 3 hours before the performance’s starting time. Ticket holders are advised to call 2268 7325 or go to the website www.cof.gov.hk for details of programme schedule changes and refund arrangements.
  • The presenter reserves the right to substitute artists and change the programme should unavoidable circumstances make it necessary.
  • The contents of the programmes do not represent the views of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
  • Audiences are strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers will only be admitted when there is a suitable break in the performance or at the interval.
